THE LATEST NEWS:
Life in Third Grade looks nothing like the past. We're back in the classroom, but the feeling is not quite the same. Communicating through masks, the uncertainty of a possible quarantine, in-house and online assignments, gaps and learning curves . . . who would have ever thought this would still be us in 2021? It's definitely a different situation we find ourselves in . . . and yet grab those rags and expo markers . . . learning must happen.
There is a significant amount of material to cover this year -- starting with a quick recheck of 2nd grade material and then a jump into 3rd grade standards. Our Quarterly Check-Ins are still scheduled throughout the year and EOGs are still slotted for May/June . . . so there is no time to wait for things to completely return to "normal."
Please know that despite the uncertain start up and the push to cover material, your child is very important to me. This is not the normal year your child hoped for either -- it's been unsettling, unpredictable -- and I completely understand. We will make this a great year . . . one day at a time.
